Also you may have your medical insurance in you country, It is probably not valid in Vietnam. A travel insurance policy should cover theft loss and medical problem should be a good idea. Some policy offer lower and higher medical expense option; the higher one is mainly in the country like: USA, which has extremely high medical cost. There is a wide, variety of policies available. so check the small print.

Some policy specially exclude" dangerous activities" which can include scuba diving, motor cycling or even trekking. A locally acquired motorcycle license is not valid under some policies.

You may prefer the policies which pay doctors or hospital directly rather than you pay the post and claim later.

If you have to claim later, please make sure that you keep the document or police report for theft or robbery.
