Hai Duong province consider lower land delta province with very fertile land very convenience develop agriculture, it is ideally location right in the heart of the Red River Delta, just more 40 km reach to biggest harbor of Vietnam, connected to Halong bay and easily to access to china border gate north and northwest close to Bac Gaing and Bac Ninh province, Hai Phong on the east, Quang Ninh, Hung Yen on the west, Thai Binh on the south. Kiep Bac Temple
Location: Kiep Bac temple located in Hung Dao Commune, Chi Linh District, Hai Duong province, about 80km away from Hanoi, and 5km from Con Son.
Features: In the 13th century, this is where Vietnam dynasty’s troops of the Tran Hung Dao garrison. The name Kiep Bac is original from Van Yen village (Kiếp village) and Duoc Son (Bạc village). This place is very flourish valley surrounded by Dragon Mountains makes Kiep Bac become a beautiful just discreet, just dreaming place. In the 13th century, this is the place Tran Hung Dao’s troop garrison, a national hero, the supreme military commander in the war against the Mongolia aggressive invaders. After many restorations, Kiep Bac Temple still retains the original appearance. Currently in the temple of Tran Hung Dao statue as well as many ancient statues and worship from the early fourteenth century were preserved. Kiep Bac Temple Festival is held annually from August, 15 to 20 lunar calendar. Kiep Bac Temple is not only a cultural relic but also a tourist sights attracts visitors from everywhere.
Côn Sơn relic
Location: Located in Cong Hoa commune, Chi Linh district, between two mountain ranges of Phượng Hoàng – Kì Lân, about 80 km away from northeast of Hanoi.
Features: This scenic relic includes mountains, temples, towers, pine forests, streams and other famous monuments associated with the lives of many famous man of Vietnam history. Right from the Tran dynasty, Con Son Pagoda is one of three central entrance gate way to region of Truc Lam Côn Sơn - Yên Tử - Quỳnh Lâm). This land was attached to names and works of many famous people such as Tran Nguyen Dan, Huyen Quang and particularly the national hero - a world cultural celebrity Nguyen Trai. President Ho Chi Minh City has been visited Con Son and read Nguyen Trai’s stele. Today, Con Son has been preserved many traces from the Tran cultural and historical period. Typical:
Con Son Pagoda
also known as Hun Pagoda, located at Con Son Mountain beneath. It has been built before Tran dynasty period. In Le dynasty, the temple was restored and expanded magnificently. Over variation in history and time, Con Son Pagoda is today only a small temple hidden under the green foliage of the old trees.
It was the architectural style (I) includes Tiền Đường, thiên Hương, Thượng Điện. There is Buddha statues from the Le dynasty with 3m high. Behind the temple is the main building, with three statues of Truc Lam Buddhism sect (Tran Nhan Tong – Phap Loa- Huyen Quang), the statues of Tran Nguyen Dan the Nguyen Trai’s grandfather, two statues Nguyen Trai and Nguyen Thi Lo. In the yard, there is an old high tree 600 years old.
Located in Ky Lan Mountain, the right way up to Ban Cờ Tiên, the lower is Dang Minh Bao Thap. Legend said that Master Huyen Quang was dreamed about the well by god and gave the temple the precious water source. The wells with clear water, lush green year round. Since then named Giêng Ngọc, water in the well was used as the worship of the temple.
Bàn Cờ tiên
Climbing up from Con Son pagoda about 600 stone steps to the top of is Con Son Mountain (200m high). Con Son is a top flat land, where there is a fairly large rock, named Bàn Cờ Tiên. Standing here, tourists can see the cover of a large area.
There is a stone called Thach Ban beside Con Son stream, where President Ho Chi Minh stopped to rest when visiting this monument. From mountain trails following the path down the rocky mountain is a large stone, lying flat and smooth as along streams called Thach Ban. Legend said that it is the place where Nguyen Trai used for resting, sightseeing, creating poetry and thinking about the life.
