Historic Relic Complex of Den Hung (Hung Temple)
The historic relic complex of Den Hung (Hung Temple) is located in Co Tich village, Hy Cuong commune, Lam Thao district, Phu Tho province, worships Hung Kings, founded the first state of Viet Nam named Van Lang. From Hanoi, tourists can reach to Hung Temple by car or bus driven along the National Road No.2 or by train on the Hanoi - Lao Cai route. The Hung Temple is a cultural and historic relic especially important to the country and built on Hung Mountain in Phong Chau - the neighboring area of the capital of Van Lang State 4,000 years ago. The whole relic area has 4 temples, 1 pagoda and 1 royal tombs harmonizing with the natural beauty. It is said that the Hung Mountain is like a head of a dragon turning towards the South. The body of the dragon is divided into the Van Mountain, the Troc Mountain and the Pheo Mountain, etc. The Van Mountain is 170 meters high. The Troc Mountain locates between the Hung Mountain and the Van Mountain and has the height of145 meters. The whole area of Hung Temple was previously an old tropical forest. From the foot of the Hung Mountain, tourists can see architectural relics like: Temple Gate, Ha Temple, Stele House, Thien Quang Pagoda...
Xuan Son National Garden
The Xuan Son National Forest is located in Xuan Son commune, Thanh Son district, Phu Tho province. The garden locates at the last point of Hoang Lien Son mountain range, which is the gateway of the Northwest of Viet Nam. Considered as the most potential destination of Phu Tho, the garden is worth being ranked amongst profound natural relics of the country of Viet Nam. Wild beauty and great efforts of peoples in preserving the garden have created an attractive picture for tourists interested in discovering natural beauty.
The Xuan Son National Garden covers an area of 15,048 hectares, of which 9,099 hectares are protected carefully. Xuan Son Garden is the unique national garden having a 2,432 hectare primitive forest standing on a limestone mountain. Particularly, Xuan Son garden is a big store of native breed and medicinal plants, especially bitter vegetable growing naturally. In the Xuan Son Garden, there are also 365 kinds of animals like gibbon, civet, squirrel, panther, bear, pheasant, grey peacock pheasant, eagle, etc, of which 46 kinds are classified in Red Book Viet Nam and 18 kinds are classified in the World Red Book. A day in Xuan Son witnesses 4 seasons of the year. In the morning, it is very cool and fresh like in the spring. At mid-day, the weather is hot like in the summer. In the afternoon, the wind puffs lightly like in the autumn. In the evening, it is a bit cold like in the winter.
Ao Chau Lagoon
Ao Chau Lagoon is located in Ha Hoa town, Am Ha commune, Y Son commune and Phu Khanh commune of Ha Hoa district. The Lagoon is 65 km northwest of Viet Tri city and 150 km far from Hanoi Capital. Ao Chau Lagoon covers an area of about 1,500 hectares and surrounded by diversified kinds of plants growing on mountains and hills with the height ranging between 60 meters to 700 meters. On the sides of mountains and hills are terraced fields. Mountains and hills are surrounded by large paddy fields. Such a terrain helps form hundreds of water channels flowing around mountains and hills, which makes landscape in Ao Chau Lagoon become primitively impressive. The average water level of the lagoon is 5.5 meters. The deepest level is 30 meters. What's interesting is that Ao Chau Lagoon is always covered with water. Ao Chau is affected by climate of the mountainous area of the Northwest with annual medium temperature of about 23°C. January is the coldest month as medium temperature in the month reaches about 15°C while the hottest month is June with medium temperature of over 28°C. Annual average rainfall is around 1,850 mm.
Temple of Au Co Mother
The Temple of Au Co Mother was established in Hien Luong commune, Ha Hoa district, Phu Tho province, where possesses heaps of mountains, a large reservoir and a range of flat plain along the river. Legends said that Au Co mother, after leaving his first son on the Nghia Linh Mountain, took other 49 sons to Hien Luong commune for living. She and her sons broke fresh ground and founded villages. One day, Au Co Mother flied to the sky and left a pink blouse at the foot of a banyan tree. Hien Luong's peoples built a temple at the foot of the tree to memorize the mother's merit called the Temple of Au Co Mother. The Au Co Mother Temple consists of 5 large sacrifice rooms and 3 harem rooms. Inside the temples has a system of ancient relics of high arts like Au Co Statue, Duc Ong Statue, etc., which are embossed carefully. Au Co Statue is 85 centimeters high and put in a 3-side glass cage, which is put on an altar located at the height of 2.2 meters in the last room of the temple. Au Co Mother Temple is an important worshiping relic amongst historical relics of Phu Tho. The temple annually receives the visits of a large number of pilgrims.
Thanh Thuy Hot Mineral Water Mine
The Thanh Thuy Hot Mineral Water Mine is located in La Phu and Bao Yen communes, Thanh Thuy district. The mine is 30 km far from Viet Tri city and 60 km far from Xuan Son district. According to a research, the mine is distributed on the area of about 1 square kilometer and like a calabash stretching towards Da River. The medium temperature of mineral water ranges between 37oC and 43°C. Hot mineral water contains sodium, calcium, etc, especially radon - a rare and precious kind of radon for the first time discovered in Viet Nam, which is good for heath and can release diseases. Thanh Thuy hot mineral water mine is recommended an interesting destination for visitors to Phu Tho province.
Ao Gioi - Suoi Tien
Ao Gioi - Suoi Tien area (God Pond - Fairy Stream) is located on Na Mountain in Quan Khe commune, Ha Hoa district. The area is 80 km northwest of Viet Tri city and 15 km far from Ao Chau Galoon. On the road to Ao Gioi - Suoi Tien, you can watch hundreds of big and small mountains with average height of from 500-600 meters compared to sea level. With the height ofl.200 meters, Na Mountain looks very imposing and is covered with the green of tropical plants growing densely. Suoi Tien (Fairy Stream) flows from Na Mountain through cliff, forming an outstanding silver Strip throwing across mountain's side and intermingling with the blue of the sky, which makes surrounding landscape more romantic, mysterious. The stream is more than 10 km long. Streambed is full of gravel, stone and gold dust, helping purify stream's water. At the beginning point of the stream locates a 10 meter deep fairy well covering an area of about 40 square meters. From the bottom of the well, cool water gushing strongly, forming fairy stream.
