The charm of Ba na

Ba Na is located in Chua Mountain, Hoa Vang district, 40km from Da Nang city in the Southwest. Like Sapa (Lao Cai), Da Lat (Lam Dong), Ba Na enjoys a cool and pure air around the year. One day in Ba Na includes four seasons. The average temperature is from 17°C to 20°C.

From Ba Na By night resort, visitors take cable car to Nghinh Phong peak. Sitting inside cable cabin, slightly gliding through dew, panorama of Ba Na Mountain appears romantic in the eye. Behind Le Nim villas, there are paths into the forest. Ba Na primeval forest is thick from the root to the peak and through Chua Mountain. This is the largest primeval forest in the central part. The bio-diversification is shown vividly and clearly.

The different types of trees grow in various layers and change in line with height levels. Over 1, 000m, there remain trees of pine family. Under 1000 m high, it appears existence of trees of oil, chest-trut, ricinus families and herbs. From statistics, at present, in Ba Na forest there are 542 high level plants subject to 379 branches, 136 families. Ba Na wild flower is colorful and nice. If coming here in the summer, visitors shall have a chance to see wonderful flowers of orchid with: pink, red and other precious flowers, namely: peach blooms in the spring; red bead-tree flower blooms in the autumn, embellishing to Ba Na beauty. The fauna in Ba Na forest is diversifying with 256 pieces, including 44 precious animals named in red book of Viet Nam: tiger, panther, deer, flying squirrel, reddish-cheek gibbon, dog-bear, etc.

Going along Ba Na forest, visitors can see some remained old villas. These villas were made by late rite, enameled-tile wall and through one by one via a path. Walking around here, visitors will see the old wine cellar designed under French style in 1923 with unchanged structures. A little of entertainment in the bar, in the shade, listening to lyrical music songs, visitors feel peaceful and relaxed. It is very quiet, fanciful and deep at night in Ba Na. In the light of bulbs, Ba Na seems to be real and dreamlike.

The final stop is to pass the hung bridge reaching to Chua mountain peak with 1,487m high and from there; visitors can see the immense pine forest and beauty of Da Nang city. Ba Na is more and more attractive for local and international visitors.
