Thai Nguyen is beautiful and slow pace midland province; it located closely to Hanoi capital city. In Vietnam when ever talking about Thai Nguyen, people cannot helping imagine about typical local special production of green tea, it accessible long national road number 3 within 60 km northern of Hanoi sharing border with neighborhood province such as Hanoi capital on the south, Bac Can on the north; Vinh Phuc, Tuyen Quang on the west, Lang Son, Bac Giang on the east. With very convenience location, Thai Nguyen province became the gateway for economic and political exchanges between the mountainous region and northern midland region. Besides, Thai Nguyen is a convergence of cultures of ethnic minorities in the North. It also preserved much cultural identity of Tay, Dao and Hmong people.

Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Museum
Location: Located in the center of Thai Nguyen city, Thai Nguyen province.
Characteristics: The museum was built in 1960 on a campus with many old trees. The museum has displayed and introduced many cultural heritage artifacts of 54 traditional ethnic groups in Vietnam.

The museum has a total an area of 28,000 m2 with 3,000 m2 using for exhibition area; store many objects and other activities. Currently, the museum stores more than 20,000 units of original materials and precious cultural heritage objects of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam. Display system consists of six rooms, each room using nearly 2,000 objects including original artifacts, photographs and supporting scientific materials.

Cultural Museum
Introduction Room: Essential characteristics of Vietnamese cultural ethnic.
Vietnam – Muong Room: ethnic groups include Viet, Muong, Tho, Chut.
Tay room - including the Thai ethnic groups: Tay, Nung, Thai, Lao, Lu, San Chay, Bo Y.
Mong- Dao and other South Asian groups, includes ethnic groups: Hmong, Dao, Pa Then, La Chi, La Ha, Co Lao, Pu Peo.
Mon – Khmer Room: ethnic groups include: Kho Mu, Mang, Khang, Xinh Mun, O Du, Khmer, Ba Na, Xo Dang, Co Ho, Hre, MNong; Xtieng, Bru-Van Kieu, Co Tu, Gie Trieng, Ma, Co, Ta Oi, Cho Ro, Brau, Ro Mam.
Han - Hoa Room: Tang Mien, Ma, O-Po-li-ne include the nation: Hoa, Ngai, San Diu, Ha Nhi, La Hu, Phu La, Lo Lo, Cong, Si La, Gia Rai , Ede, Cham, Ra Glai, Chu Ru.
In addition, there is an outdoor attractive exhibition area in the museum. The museum has attracted many tourists all over the world to visit and learn about the cultural identity of Vietnamese people.
